A Favourite Place

One of my favourite ever places to work, was this place right here, with these crazy creatures.

Snow Leopards have it all.

They’re fluffy, they’re super cute, and they’re REALLY cheeky!

They’re well adapted to cold weather, with the fur on their belly growing up to 12 cms long! In the wild, in the area of Nepal, their main source of food are blue sheep (who aren’t actually blue!) and one sheep can feed a snow leopard for a whole week!

In the wild, snow leopards live in high-altitude mountainous terrain, usually at elevations of 3,000-4,500m. They prefer steep, broken landscapes such as cliffs, rocky outcrops and ravines. Snow leopards have short forelimbs and long hind legs, which allow them to traverse and stay agile in their steep and rugged environments, so my work with creating their habitat is crucial to their happiness.
